Forehead lifts are performed under twilight sedation administered by an anesthesiologist. For women the incision can be placed at the hairline or behind the hairline depending on their facial structure. For men the incision is most often placed in the natural furrows of the mid-forehead.
Sutures and staples are removed within ten days and most patients are back to work within two weeks. At this point the incision is healed and make-up can be worn to camouflage any remaining bruising.
