Nose Reshaping (Rhinoplasty)

Nose Enhancement or Rhinoplasty refines and reshapes the nose by repositioning cartilage and bone or shaving away excess tissue, making the nose harmonize better with other facial features. Some patients have chin augmentation in conjunction with rhinoplasty to assist in balancing facial features.

Rhinoplasty is an outpatient procedure performed under general anesthesia. In most procedures the skin of the nose is lifted away from the bone and cartilage framework beneath which is then rearranged and reshaped as needed. The skin is then re-draped over the new frame and the incision is closed.

A small splint will be placed on the nose to protect it for a week. If packing was placed inside the nose during surgery it will be removed the day after surgery. Cold compresses may be applied after surgery to help reduced bruising and discomfort.

Laser surgery is often performed in conjunction with lower eyelid surgery to tighten the skin and remove fine lines and wrinkles. An upper eyelid lift enhances the appearance of droopy eyes by eliminating extra folds of skin and restoring the youthful eyelid crease.

Eyelid surgery can also be performed in conjunction with facelift and/or forehead lift surgery.
